Borusan Cat HAS BECOME THE REPRESENTATIVE OF BERG PROPULSION IN TURKEY

Borusan Cat will represent Berg Propulsion, one of the world’s leading maritime transportation and propeller system manufacturers, in Turkey.

September 2020, Istanbul. Borusan Cat has added another brand to its products and services portfolio for the Turkish maritime and shipbuilding industry. Berg Propulsion acquired Caterpillar Propulsion in June and regained its independent status in the maritime industry as Berg Propulsion after seven years. After the acquisition, Borusan Cat, previously the representative of Caterpillar Propulsion, has become Berg Propulsion Turkey representative.

An established and innovative brand in the maritime industry

Sweden-based well-known and established brand Berg Propulsion is considered one of the leaders in the maritime industry of the world especially in “Marine Propulsion Propeller (MPP),” “Azimuth (MTA)” and “Magnetic Tunnel Thruster (MTT)” systems and related control and electric systems integration.

Berg Propulsion set out to integrate manufacturing facilities in Sweden and Singapore in a single campus near the R&D center in Sweden. Integrating manufacturing facilities in a single campus will increase spare part compliance and availability as well as the capacity to provide products and services all around the world more rapidly. After the merger, manufacturing and service capacity will also increase with new investments.
