Borusan Academy organizes Faculty programs for all group companies owned by Borusan Holding, covering Leadership, Sales, Financial Affairs, and Procurement Expertise. In addition to the programs run by Borusan Academy, we also benefit from the methods and guidance provided by Caterpillar's "CAT University," our distributor. With this expertise, we elevate learning experiences to global standards through function-specific expertise programs, structured career development programs, on-the-job practices, remote and micro-learning opportunities. Examples include CAT Global Certification Programs, Technician Career Development Program, Sales Development Academy, Service Development Academy, Harmony Reverse Mentoring, Borusan Cat Customer Experience Programs, and the L&D Store learning platform.

 

CAT Global Certification Programs: These programs are designed to deepen professional expertise and are offered to all Caterpillar dealers worldwide with the aim of ensuring global standards. Programs can be supported by remote learning methods, in addition to being held at CAT centers in Dubai and Malaga.

 

Technician Career Development Program: After-sales services are one of the most crucial aspects of our business, and the main actors responsible for this are our technicians. We support the journey of our technicians, starting from the recruitment process and continuing through development and career steps, with structured processes and programs within global standards. We support their technical development through classroom training, on-the-job experiences, and remote learning methods.

 

Sales Development Academy: It is indispensable for our sales teams to be reliable solution consultants in the sales process. Becoming a reliable solution consultant begins with having good product and solution knowledge and continues with being equipped with sales-specific competencies, understanding customer expectations, and selling appropriate solutions. Therefore, while strengthening the knowledge level of our Sales teams in Product and Technical aspects through training, we also support their behavioral development with a specially designed sales development academy.

 

Service Development Academy: The program includes Individual Awareness, Leadership, and Management Skills for Service Engineers and Foremen, while focusing on Individual Awareness and Communication with Internal and External Customers for Technicians. We aim to enhance the Solution-oriented approaches of our service teams, who have internalized our company motto "We Create Solutions for a Better World," and target improving their communication skills.

 

Harmony Reverse Mentoring: This program aims to bridge the gap between different generations by bringing together the younger generation with previous generation leders, fostering collaboration through knowledge sharing. Unlike traditional mentoring programs, young mentors share their current experiences and help adapt business practices to changing conditions. Our dream is to facilitate meetings where young Borusan Cat colleagues to;

  • Discuss the current trends in the world with his/her own perspectives.

Borusan Cat Customer Experience Programs: It forms the cornerstone of our customer-focused thinking strategy. Providing a good experience to the customer is essential for maintaining sustainable customer loyalty. At Borusan Cat, we include everyone in customer contact in our customer experience program by determining our customer experience steps on a functional basis.

Aligned with our Global L&D Strategy, which aims to build an effective and sustainable learning and development ecosystem, we have won prestigious awards with the projects we developed. In 2018, we earned a bronze award in the "Brandon Hall Awards - Best Advance in Mobile Learning Technology" category with our Micro Learning Mobile Application "L-Store", which we developed entirely from our resources and made available to our employees. One of the innovative steps in our digital transformation journey in Human Resources and Development, our project "L&D Store - Borusan Cat Learning Experience Ecosystem", won a gold award in the "2023 Globee Business Awards - Success in Collaborative Learning Use" category. Additionally, our project received a bronze award in the "2023 Stevie Awards for Great Employers" in the category of 'HR Achievement in Learning Technology Implementation'.

Our project "Sales Development Academy" designed to equip our talents with both today's and future skills, was honored with a bronze award in the "2023 Globee Business Awards - Success in Team Development Program" category.

Sales Development Academy also received a Silver award in the Sales Development Program category at the '2023 TEGEP Learning and Development Awards', where Turkey's best practices in corporate training and development are selected.
